Chiara: A Special Surfer Girl

Chiara, nicknamed Chiaretta, is a charming Italian girl from Milan. Her WhatsApp status says she is probably at the airport. Her social media profile pictures show her in a wetsuit carrying a surfing board or riding a wave.

Chiaretta is not only a cute face but holds a bachelor’s degree in languages while pursuing a master’s in business management. She is immersing herself in Moroccan culture by interning at a language center in Rabat.

This Italian girl evidently travels constantly, is into surfing, and is passionate about learning languages and experiencing Moroccan culture.

Surf Camp Reviewer: Chiara

It’s her third time at Original Surf Morocco, she clearly considers our surf camp her home away from home.

After a full day of sunbathing, catching waves, and having fun, we suggested conducting a laid-back discussion to discover what keeps her coming back for more.

For this surf camp review, we kept it light and asked Chiara 3 casual questions.

Below is a breakdown of how the talk went.

Surf Camp Review Breakdown

At first, we wanted to gain a complete perspective of the entire experience, so we began our surf camp review by asking her opinion about Tamraght village.

Best Surf and Yoga retreat: surfer on the camel

Question 1: What do you like about your trip here?

Chiara senses the homeliness Tamraght village provides for its visitors.

In Tamraght, locals coexist harmoniously with tourists from every part of the world. Moroccan culture here leans towards the Amazighi side. The village is between Awrir and Taghazout and borders some of the best surfing spots in Agadir, like Devil’s Rock, Crocro, and Banana Point.

Here you can find anything and everything. Surf schools, surf shops, hostels, convenience stores, restaurants that cater to different tastes, thrift shops, street food stalls, aesthetic cafes, and shops that sell all sorts of things from leather goods, to souvenirs, and everything in between.

The thing that excites most tourists coming to Tamaraght is the year-round sunshine, the perfect weather to catch some fantastic waves, and friendly and outgoing locals. In a nutshell, Tamarght is about riding the waves, enjoying a sunbath, discovering the local culture, and meeting new like-minded people.

In Chiara’s own words, come to Tamraght is all about the good vibes. As exceptional as Chiara is, she enjoys cool vibes as much as the next girl.

For the next part of the surf camp review, we honed in on her particular experience at Original Surf.

Question 2: What do you like about your stay here at Original Surf Morocco?

Original Surf Morocco, located at the heart of Tamraght Village, is a Moroccan styled surf camp that takes pride in its tasty home-made traditional dishes, professional instructors, and amazing panoramic view of the entire village.

Chiara enthusiastically stated: “I like Original because it makes me feel at home, even I am very far from my home country. Everyone is very nice and kind. They always help me if I need something. Plus the food is good. And the view is very nice.”

For the final part of the surf camp review, our surfer girl passed on a message to our future guests.

Question 3: What do you want to say to our future guests?

Chiara is addressing everyone of you who like to visit and explore Tamraght and learn how to surf.to choose no other surf camp but Original Surf Morocco. Our surf camp has everything that you can wish for, a convenient location, a variety of shops nearby, delicious food, patient instructors, and magical vibes.

Original Surf Morocco guests

Chiara answered by enthusiastically stating, “Choose Original because it’s a nice place, there’s a lot of shops around. It’s near to the beach (which is the best thing). And if you want to learn how to surf, there are good instructors.”

At the end of the interview we asked her to say something in Moroccan and Chiaretta didn’t hesitate a second and said laughingly,”Yallah Ajiw Al Original” which directly translates to let’s go, come on, visit Original. Then, we suggested that she send a message to her countrymen in Italian and she basically invited them to Tamaraght for a good year-around sunshine, endless waves, wonderful culture, and warm people.

Surf Camp Review Final words:

It’s Chiaretta’s third time in our surf camp. It’s safe to say that she’s enamoured with Tamraght, Original Surf Morocco (she calls us family, by the way), and the authentic culture of the place. She promised that she will return soon to explore more, and ride some extra waves. We want to tell you Chiara, that we are already missing you and can’t wait for you to come back.

Behind the Scenes of Surf Camp Review

Honestly, we winged the surf camp review. We had little to no preparation. It was all last-minute. But the talk turned out better than expected, we made the whole thing worthwhile.

At the end, as were Chiara’s words, it’s all about the vibes. And the interview was A WHOLE VIBE.

Needless to say, there were a lot of retakes as it was both our first time. We had to redo a few parts but the interview left us with many giggles, funny moments, and hilarious bloopers.

I just got back from Original Surf Morocco, and honestly, it was one of the best surf experiences I’ve had so far! From the food to the surf lessons, everything was top-notch. The food was absolutely amazing – I’m still thinking about some of those meals! The surf teachers were fantastic too; they made sure we had fun while helping us improve a lot. Their tips really made a difference in my surfing.

The camp was so well-organized – everything ran smoothly and they were always on time. The extra excursions were a blast as well, and we ended up making so many unforgettable memories. It really felt like a retreat, and I honestly felt at home the entire time. The rooms were super clean and comfortable, which just added to the overall experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!
