Introduction to the moroccan surf scene

Surfing has been gaining popularity all over the world, and there’s no better place to catch the perfect wave than Morocco. With its long stretches of Atlantic coastline and year-round sunshine, Morocco offers ideal conditions for a surf adventure. It’s a country with a rich culture, a welcoming spirit, and an ever-growing surf community. In recent years, surf camps in Morocco have been taking the surf scene by storm. Here’s how the Moroccan surf scene grew from a quiet fishing village into one of the most talked-about surf destinations in the world.

The rise of the moroccan surf scene, from 1989 to today

Morocco’s surf culture has been steadily growing over the past few decades, giving rise to a vibrant and dynamic surf camp industry.

A defining moment came in 1989 when the first surf camp was established in the coastal village of Taghazout.

This marked the beginning of a new era for Moroccan surfing. Taghazout, with its world-class right-hand point breaks and laid-back village vibe, quickly became a magnet for surfers from around the globe.

Since then, the region has flourished.

Surf camps have multiplied, and Taghazout has transformed from a sleepy fishing village into a renowned surfing destination.

The area’s success lies in its unique blend of reliable waves, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that invites connection and community.

Surfers of all levels return year after year, drawn by the thrill of the surf and the warmth of Moroccan culture.

These camps offer more than just surf lessons—they provide travelers with the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in Morocco’s surf lifestyle while enjoying authentic cultural experiences.

How the moroccan surf scene grew into a global destination

Surf culture has become an integral part of Morocco’s identity along the coast.

With increasing accessibility and exposure to international surf culture, many local Moroccans have taken up the sport.

This has had a ripple effect on local economies and tourism.

Just a few years ago, Banana Village and Imiouddar were quiet, little-known places with minimal tourist infrastructure.

Today, they are bustling surf destinations with thriving surf camps, cafes, and local businesses built around the needs of surfers. This growth has been the defining force behind the Moroccan surf scene becoming recognised internationally.

Crowds of The Surf Competition

The emergence of major international surf competitions in Morocco has further fueled this growth.

Events like the WSL Pro Taghazout Bay and the Morocco Mall Junior Pro in Casablanca have brought global attention to Moroccan waves and boosted local pride in the nation’s surf potential.

The rising popularity of surfing has also led to increased demand for surf gear, prompting major surf brands such as Rip Curl and Quiksilver to establish a retail presence in the country.

Morocco is now on the map not just for its waves, but also for its role in the global surf industry.

INCREASING DEMANDS FOR SURF CAMPS

As more travellers seek meaningful, active holidays, the demand for surf camps in Morocco continues to rise.

These camps cater to all levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned surfers looking to sharpen their skills.

Whether you’re a solo adventurer, a couple, or a group of friends, there’s a surf camp experience designed for you.

New Year's Eve Breakfast in Surf Camp

In addition to surf lessons, many camps offer packages that include accommodation, meals, yoga classes, cultural excursions, and equipment rental.

This all-inclusive model simplifies the planning process and allows guests to focus on enjoying their time in the water.

THE EMERGENCE OF PROFESSIONAL SURFING COMPETITIONS IN MOROCCO

Morocco is increasingly becoming a hotspot on the global surfing competition circuit. It now hosts several professional surfing events each year, including:

  • Quiksilver Pro Casablanca
  • Roxy Pro Casablanca
  • WSL Pro Taghazout Bay

These events attract elite surfers from around the world, giving Moroccan surfers the chance to compete on home turf and inspiring a new generation to take up the sport. The competitions are also an opportunity for surf tourism to shine, bringing in visitors and media coverage that showcase Morocco’s incredible surf potential. Events like the WSL Pro Taghazout Bay have put the Moroccan surf scene firmly on the global map.

Here’s why your next summer escape should be all about surf, sun, and soul in Tamraght.

1. PERFECT SUMMER CONDITIONS FOR LEARNING TO SURF

Summer in Tamraght is made for beginner surfers. The waves are softer and slower than in the peak winter season, making it the ideal time to learn the basics or refine your skills without the pressure of big swells.

Good Conditions For Summer Surf Holiday

The water is warm, the sunshine endless, and you can often surf in just a rash guard or swimsuit—no thick wetsuits required.

You’ll feel the freedom of paddling out in boardshorts, catching gentle green waves, and popping up with confidence as you improve each day.

And because the summer swell is more forgiving, you’ll have more time in the water to work on your timing, balance, and paddling techniques—all while soaking up the sun and good vibes.

2. BALANCE YOUR BODY AND MIND WITH YOGA

There’s something magical about starting your day with a sunrise yoga session on a rooftop overlooking the Atlantic.

At Original Surf Morocco, we combine surfing with daily yoga to help you feel your best—physically and mentally. Morning classes prepare your body for surfing by building strength and flexibility, while evening flows help you stretch out sore muscles and unwind from a full day in the ocean.

You’ll practice with the sound of waves in the background, incense in the air, and a warm breeze brushing your skin.

Whether you’re new to yoga or already deep into your practice, our sessions are designed to complement your surf journey.

3. SLOW SUMMER LIVING IN TAMRAGHT

Tamraght is not your average tourist destination.

It’s a chilled-out surf village where time moves slowly, the sunsets are golden, and mint tea is served with a smile.

You can ride camels on the beach at sunset, hike up to mountain viewpoints, or simply nap under a palm tree after a long surf session.

Summer Surf At A Yoga Retreat In Tamraght: It’s All Surf, Soul, Sun

Posted By : Souhail Adib/ 1650 0

INTRODUCTION TO SUMMER SURF HOLIDAY

When you think of summer holidays, a summer surf vacation never crosses your mind.

You might picture beach loungers and cold drinks.

A surf and yoga retreat probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind—but maybe it should be.

Summer Surf

What if you could trade passive sunbathing for something more energizing, transformative, and deeply fulfilling?

A summer surf and yoga retreat in Tamraght offers the perfect balance: beginner-friendly waves, golden sunshine, peaceful yoga sessions, and the soul-soothing rhythm of the ocean.

If you’re craving adventure with a dose of mindfulness, this might just be the reset you’ve been looking for.

Here’s why summer is the ultimate season to join a surf and yoga retreat in Tamraght:

1. SUMMER SURF CONDITIONS ARE BEGINNER-FRIENDLY

Tamraght’s summer waves are gentle and consistent—ideal for those just starting out or looking to gain confidence in the water.

The swells are mellow, the water is warm, and the lineups are much less crowded than during winter.

This means more space, less pressure, and all the freedom to laugh, fall, get up, and ride again.

You’ll spend your sessions learning the art of the pop-up, practicing your balance, and understanding how to read and flow with the ocean.

The best part? No full wetsuits required. A light spring suit or even a rash guard is enough during summer.

After your surf session, you can relax on the beach, sunbathe, or join a spontaneous game of beach volleyball or football.

Horse and camel rides along the sand? That’s an everyday scene in Tamraght.

And there’s nothing quite like catching waves in just your boardshorts or swimsuit, the warm Atlantic breeze in your hair and sun on your skin—it’s the kind of feeling that stays with you long after the trip ends.

2. YOGA HELPS YOU RECOVER, FOCUS, AND FLOW

Yoga is the perfect companion to surfing—and in Tamraght, the synergy between the two is beautifully embraced.

Morning yoga sessions gently awaken your muscles, energize your breath, and set the tone for a powerful day in the ocean.

Stretching before surfing isn’t just helpful—it’s essential to prevent injuries and maintain flexibility.

Evening classes offer something entirely different: restoration.

As the sun dips into the horizon, you’ll stretch out sore muscles, calm your mind, and ease into a deep state of relaxation under the stars.

At our rooftop yoga shala in Tamraght, the Atlantic unfolds before you as the sky turns pink and the air carries the scent of incense.

The sound of waves becomes your meditation soundtrack. It’s a sacred, serene space where your body recovers and your mind resets.

3. THE MOROCCAN SUMMER VIBE

Tamraght in the summer is something magical. The days are warm but not scorching, the pace of life slows, and everything—from the sea to the people—feels infused with ease.

Tamraght isn’t a busy city. It’s a charming surf village nestled between the mountains and the sea.

Time moves differently here.

Summer Season in Agadir

You’ll notice it in the way locals greet you with a smile, how mint tea is always served with care, and how the sun sets slowly over the Atlantic in shades of orange and gold.

This slower pace gives you time to truly absorb Morocco’s rich culture—wander through the souks of nearby Agadir, enjoy a rooftop tajine dinner, sip smoothies at cosy cafes, and connect with people from all over the world.

4. A BALANCED HOLIDAY FOR BODY AND SOUL

Forget rushed itineraries and endless sightseeing.

This is about being present. It’s about showing up to the mat and the ocean every day, listening to your body, and giving yourself permission to slow down, move with intention, and reconnect.

Through surfing, you’ll challenge yourself, feel the thrill of small wins, and discover resilience. Through yoga, you’ll find peace, breath, flexibility, and inner strength.

By the end of the week, the strangers you met at dinner on day one will likely feel like family. It’s a beautiful kind of magic—created when people come together to share space, movement, meals, stories, and sunsets.

Surfing for Beginners: Everything You Need to Know

Posted By : Souhail Adib/ 1679 0

INTRODUCTION TO SURFING FOR BEGINNERS

Surfing for beginners, are you a beginner?

Thinking about learning to surf? You’re not alone. We all had this feeling once before.

More and more people are trading their beach towels for surfboards and diving into the exhilarating world of wave riding.

Surfboards on the beach

But as exciting as it sounds, starting out can feel overwhelming—new gear, new terminology, and a whole new environment.

This surfing for beginners guide will break it all down for you. If you’ve ever said, “I want to learn to surf”—this one’s for you.

1. IS SURFING HARD TO LEARN?

Let’s get real—surfing isn’t the easiest sport to pick up. It is an extreme sport for a reason.

But don’t let that stop you. And like everything else. With the right mindset, proper guidance, and a few practice sessions, you’ll be catching waves faster than you think.

Surfing for beginners

The beginning is the hardest part, but also the most rewarding. So once you start your surfing journey, everything else becomes easier.

💡 Beginner Tip: Progress takes patience. Focus on having fun and celebrating small wins—like catching your first whitewater wave!

A whitewater wave is a small, baby wave that rolls in gently and is composed of foamy water.

2. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO KNOW: SURF GEAR FOR BEGINNERS

You don’t need the fanciest gear to start surfing. In fact, simpler is better when you’re learning.

  • Soft-top surfboard – forgiving and floaty (ideal for balance)

  • Wetsuit or rashguard – depending on water temperature

  • Leash – keeps your board close

  • Wax – adds grip to your board

  • Zinc –  keeps you protected from the harmful rays of the sun

Beginner surfers

💡 Pro Tip: Ask your surf camp or rental shop for a beginner-friendly foam board—these are more stable and safer than fiberglass boards.

3. SAFETY FIRST: SURF ETIQUETTE & OCEAN AWARENESS

Before you even jump on a board, it’s important to understand basic surf etiquette and ocean safety.

  • Respect the lineup and don’t drop in on someone else’s wave.

  • Keep a safe distance from others.

  • Never surf alone as a beginner.

  • Learn to read the tides, currents, and wave conditions.

Surfing For Beginner Etiquette

💡 First Time Surfing? Take a lesson with certified instructors—they’ll teach you surf safety and boost your confidence.

It is highly recommended to that you’re first few surfing sessions ever to be with a surf instructor. Someone that understands the waves, currents, surfing, and the real struggles faced by beginners.

4. BEST PLACES FOR LEARNING TO SURF

When you’re starting out, location matters. You want a gentle beach break with consistent waves and a soft sandy bottom.

Top beginner surf destinations:

  • Tamraght, Morocco – year-round waves and expert surf schools

  • Bali, Indonesia – mellow waves and vibrant surf culture

  • Costa Rica – warm waters and welcoming beaches

  • Portugal – excellent surf camps and surf-friendly beaches

Surfing for beginners spot

💡 Original Surf Morocco offers tailored beginner surf packages in Tamraght, where the waves are ideal for learning. Based on our biased opinion, there’s no place like Tamraght to learn the basics of surfing and to build a solid foundation.

5. YOUR FIRST SURF LESSON: WHAT TO EXPECT

On day one, your instructor will likely walk you through:

  • Beach warm-ups and stretching so you won’t pull any muscles and to avoid injury

  • Pop-up techniques on land to know how to take off

  • Paddling posture to not exhaust yourself before your first wave

  • Catching whitewater waves to get the surf rolling

  • How to fall safely to avoid injuring yourself

Expect to wipe out. A lot. It’s part of the process! Wipeouts in small waves aren’t dangerous or scary but can be stressful.

💡 Tip: Stay relaxed. Tension = wipeouts. Breathe and have fun.

6. COMMON MISTAKES BEGINNERS MAKE

Everyone makes mistakes when learning to surf. Not only surfing but anything else when you learn something new.

The key is to recognize them and keep improving:

  • Looking down instead of forward like biking you should always look where you want to go

  • Standing too soon, you only try to pop up when you feel the wave is pushing you

  • Using the wrong board, for beginners foamies long boards are the way to go

  • Skipping the warm-up, never skip warming up

  • Not practicing outside the water, consistency is key when it comes to learning a new skill

💡 Solution: Stick with it. Surfing is 90% paddling and 10% standing—master the basics first!

7. BUILDING SURF STAMINA: GET SURF FIT

It may not be perceived at first, but surfing requires strength, balance, and endurance. To build stamina:

  • Try yoga for flexibility and balance

  • Swim to improve paddle endurance

  • Practice breathwork

  • Do core workouts to help with pop-ups

Yoga for surfers

💡 Surf & Yoga Retreats (like ours in Tamraght!) are the perfect combo to build strength, confidence, and mental clarity.

8. WHY SURFING IS WORTH IT

There’s a reason surfing becomes a lifelong passion for so many people.

It teaches resilience, patience, and presence.

Each wave is a new opportunity.

Each session is a new challenge.

And nothing beats the feeling of gliding on water, fully present, fully alive.

And it’s truly fun, believe us we tried it!

Surf Camp Holiday Morocco: 10 Reasons to Choose It

Why a Surf Camp Holiday in Morocco Beats a Beach Vacation

If you’re dreaming of sun, sea, and sand, you might already be planning your next getaway. But before you book that all-inclusive resort, let us introduce you to a better alternative, a surf camp holiday in Morocco. A surf camp holiday in Morocco is not about sitting tight and relaxing — it’s about learning to ride the waves, connecting with a community, and coming home genuinely changed.

Surf Camp Place

Surfing is not only exciting but also impressive. Not everybody can surf, but those who can tell you the unparalleled feeling of catching a green wave and gliding on a thin layer of water.  You can be your own version of Aquaman.

Now that you are convinced of at least thinking about a surf camp holiday.

Here are 10 compelling reasons why a surf camp holiday is not only more exciting but also more rewarding than a regular beach vacation.

1. Surf Camp Holiday Morocco: Learn a New Skill While Travelling

A regular vacation might help you relax, but it rarely teaches you something new.

Surf camps are designed to introduce you to the art of surfing—whether you’re a total beginner or brushing up on your skills.

You’ll learn ocean awareness, surf etiquette, paddling techniques, and how to stand up on a board. It’s a travel experience with real take-home value.

And the real takeaway is that what you learned on the beach is yours to keep and apply wherever you go next time.

2. STAY ACTIVE AND ENERGISED

Surfing keeps you moving in the best way possible. Each day starts with an energizing surf session that activates your whole body. You’ll work your core, arms, legs, and lungs—without setting foot in a gym. And when you’re not surfing, many surf camps offer yoga classes or beach hikes to keep the stoke going.

Surf Camp Guests

The best feeling ever during a vacation is to feel each day alive and booming with energy.

What a better way to stay active than to surf, surf, and surf.

3. Be Part of the Surf Camp Holiday Morocco Community

One of the most rewarding aspects of surf camps is the community.

You’ll meet fellow surfers from all walks of life—solo travellers, adventurers, creatives, and locals. Meals are shared, stories exchanged, and friendships formed around bonfires or sunset viewpoints.

Tamraght surf camp

The vibe is welcoming, inclusive, and down-to-earth.

Building connections, making new friends, and meeting fellow humans are some of the main reasons why people travel in the first place.

4. CONNECT WITH NATURE

Surfing puts you in direct contact with the power of the ocean.

Instead of just looking at the waves, you’ll be in them—feeling the tides, studying the swell, and understanding the natural rhythms of the coast.

Nature Surfing

It’s a powerful way to reconnect with the Earth and feel truly present.

5. FEEL A SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT

That moment you catch your first wave is pure magic.

Unlike lounging on a sunbed, surfing challenges you—and when you succeed, the feeling is unforgettable.

Overcoming fears, wiping out, getting back up, and finally standing on the board gives you confidence you’ll carry home with you.

6. DITCH THE TOURIST TRAPS

Surf camps are often located in authentic coastal villages and off-the-beaten-path spots. In Morocco, for example, towns like Tamraght and Taghazout offer local charm, Moroccan hospitality, and hidden surf breaks far from the tourist crowds. You’ll get a more genuine travel experience. This is exactly what makes a surf camp holiday in Morocco so different from the typical tourist trail.

7. BALANCED DAYS: ACTION + RELAXATION

A surf camp holiday doesn’t mean go-go-go. Most camps balance intense surf sessions with laid-back afternoons, yoga classes, delicious food, and time to rest. Whether you’re watching the sunset over the Atlantic or sipping mint tea on a rooftop terrace, you’ll find the perfect harmony of adventure and serenity.

Tamraght Village

8. HEALTHY LIFESTYLE VIBES

Ditch the buffet. Surf camps usually serve up fresh, nourishing meals to fuel your days. Think vibrant salads, Moroccan tagines, smoothies, and fruit platters. Combined with time in nature, daily movement, and digital detoxing, you’ll leave feeling healthier than when you arrived.

9. ALL-INCLUSIVE WITHOUT THE BOREDOM

A surf camp holiday in Morocco gives you everything a resort promises, accommodation, meals, activities, but without the boredom. Many surf camps offer package deals that include accommodation, surf lessons, gear rental, transport to surf spots, yoga, and meals. It’s all taken care of, but unlike a resort, every day is new—new waves, new people, new adventures. You’re never stuck in a routine.

10. MEMORIES THAT LAST FOREVER

You might forget which book you read on your last beach holiday, but you’ll never forget your first wave. The challenge, the laughter, the thrill of the ride—surf camp memories tend to stick around long after your tan fades.

FAQs ABOUT SOLO TRAVEL MOROCCO

Is Morocco good for solo travelling?

Yes, Morocco is a great destination for solo travellers, especially those with a curious spirit and a sense of adventure. From the bustling souks of Marrakech to the peaceful beaches of Agadir and the laid-back surf villages like Tamraght and Taghazout, solo travellers can enjoy a variety of experiences. It’s generally safe, affordable, and well-connected, with plenty of guided tours and hostels that make meeting people easy. As with any country, staying aware of your surroundings, dressing respectfully, and using trusted transport or accommodation options will help ensure a smooth solo travel experience.

Is Morocco good for single men?

Absolutely. Single men traveling to Morocco will find plenty to enjoy—from hiking in the Atlas Mountains and exploring ancient cities to surfing the Atlantic coast and immersing themselves in Moroccan culture. Morocco is quite welcoming, and solo male travellers often find it easy to meet other travellers or interact with locals. Just be respectful of local customs, especially in more conservative or rural areas, and you’ll likely have a very rewarding experience.

Is Marrakech safe for a female solo traveller?

Yes, Marrakech can be safe for solo female travellers, but it’s important to stay alert and culturally aware. The city is vibrant and rich in history, with a strong tourism infrastructure. As a solo woman, it’s wise to dress modestly (covering shoulders and knees), avoid walking alone in quiet areas at night, and prepare for some street attention or catcalling—often harmless, though it can be annoying. Choosing female-friendly accommodations, joining guided tours, or staying in well-reviewed riads/hostels can make the experience more comfortable and empowering.

What are the rules for female tourists in Morocco?

There are no strict “rules,” but there are social norms that female tourists should be aware of to show respect and feel more comfortable:

  • Dress modestly: Covering shoulders, cleavage, and legs (especially outside touristy areas) helps avoid unwanted attention.

  • Avoid public displays of affection: Holding hands is usually fine, but kissing or close contact in public is frowned upon.

  • Use discretion in bars or clubs: While alcohol is available, public drunkenness is culturally sensitive.

  • Be firm but polite with street attention: A confident “no thank you” often works.

Following these cultural cues helps female travelers blend in and feel more at ease during their journey.

Are Moroccans friendly to foreigners?

Yes, Moroccans are famously warm, hospitable, and generous—especially when you show respect for their culture. Guests are often treated with kindness and curiosity, and it’s not unusual to be invited in for tea or offered help navigating a souk. While some tourist-heavy areas may have persistent vendors, most locals are genuinely friendly and happy to help travellers discover their country.

WHY I CHOOSE TO TRAVEL SOLO AS A FEMALE

Before diving into my female solo travel experience, let me set the tone.

Let’s be honest: there’s a lot of doom and gloom going on.

WHY MOROCCO? WHY SURFING?

When I arrived in Tamraght, it was 20-something degrees outside. There were baby beach breaks for beginners and pounding sets on the point-breaks for experts.

But more importantly? There were good vibes everywhere.

I met people from Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, Russia, and Italy—and within a few days, we were all crying with laughter every night at dinner. We become one big family.

You don’t need important connections or a huge travel plan. All you need is the courage to book the ticket and show up.

Surfing Agadir You Gotta Check It Off Your Surfing Bucket List

Posted By : Souhail Adib/ 1970 2

INTRODUCTION: WHY SURFING AGADIR IS SPECIAL

In this blog, we will give you all the reasons for making surfing Agadir an experience like no other.

Agadir, located on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, is a dream destination for surfers. With over 300 days of sunshine a year and a coastline dotted with beginner-friendly beach breaks and powerful point breaks, it offers consistent waves and warm vibes.

surfing Agadir

Whether you’re new to surfing or an experienced rider chasing winter swells, Agadir provides the perfect balance of surf, culture, and relaxation. It’s not as crowded as European hotspots, yet it’s just a few hours away from most major European cities.

TOP SURF SPOTS IN AGADIR

Agadir’s coastline is lined with accessible surf spots that cater to all levels. Here are some local favorites:

  • Panorama Beach: Great for first-timers. Soft, rolling waves and a sandy bottom make it a safe learning spot.
  • Devil’s Rock: A favorite among locals and intermediates. It offers long rides on both left and right-handers.
  • Banana Point: Just a few minutes north of Tamraght. This mellow right-hand point break is excellent for longboarders and improving surfers.
  • Crocro Beach: Named after the shape of the nearby rock formation. A spacious beach break that’s perfect for beginner lessons and playful sessions.

Each spot is unique but easy to reach, often within a 10-15 minute drive from the heart of Agadir or Tamraght.

BEST TIME FOR SURFING AGADIR

Agadir is surfable all year, but the best surf season is from October to March, when Atlantic swells are more consistent. Winter brings bigger, more powerful waves ideal for intermediate and advanced surfers.

During the summer months (June to August), conditions are calmer, making it perfect for beginners and those who want to learn without battling strong surf.

Thanks to Morocco’s mild climate, water temperatures remain moderate throughout the year, and with a wetsuit, you can surf comfortably even in the cooler months.

For an extensive blog about the best time to surf in Morocco, check this blog.

SURF CULTURE AND COMMUNITY

Agadir’s surf scene is laid-back, welcoming, and full of community spirit. You’ll find surf camps, hostels, and beach cafés buzzing with friendly locals and international surfers. Many instructors have decades of experience and love sharing their passion for the ocean.

Whether you’re staying in Agadir or neighboring Tamraght or Taghazout, the vibe is always the same: eat, surf, chill, repeat.

Thus, in this blog, we’ll be talking about what makes a great surf house, how to choose the ideal one, and why finding the right surf house agadir tamraght will make your holiday truly magical!

Tamraght Village

WHAT IS A SURF HOUSE?

A surf house is more than just a place to stay, it’s a community hub for wave lovers. Unlike a hotel or hostel, a true surf house agadir tamraght brings together travellers who want to surf, connect, and share good times. Expect shared meals, group surf sessions, yoga, and laid-back vibes.

Surf House Agadir

It’s the perfect space for those who want more than just a vacation. At a surf house, you’re welcomed into a tribe of ocean enthusiasts who share your passion for riding waves and experiencing life with purpose. The atmosphere is always relaxed, but charged with energy—sunrises with yoga, surf-filled days, and sunsets shared with new friends.

Tamraght sits just 15 minutes from Agadir city but feels like a world away — a quiet surf village where the ocean is the main event. Our surf house here is the base for everything: morning sessions at Devil’s Rock, afternoon yoga, and evenings on the terrace watching the Atlantic turn gold. If you’re weighing up where to stay for your surf trip, the Original Surf Morocco experience starts the moment you arrive.

WHY CHOOSE A SURF HOUSE IN AGADIR?

Agadir is one of Morocco’s most reliable surf destinations, with sunshine almost all year round and waves for every level. With easy access to famous spots like Devil’s Rock, Banana Point, and Anchor Point, it’s the perfect base for a surf trip.

It’s a little beach village, so the beach vibes can be smelled in the air literally.

Agadir also offers warm weather, great food, and a mix of Moroccan culture and beach life—ideal for unwinding after surf sessions.

Agadir surfing

Whether you’re taking a walk through the bustling Souk El Had or enjoying mint tea on a rooftop terrace, you’ll find yourself immersed in a unique and welcoming local culture.

Plus, Agadir’s position on the Atlantic coast makes it one of the most consistent surf regions in North Africa.

This means that whether you’re here in peak season or off-season, the chances of scoring waves are high.

So, Agadir offers much more besides surfing. So, once you’re done with surfing you can explore villages like Taghazout, or Aourir, or go to visit the Agadir city and its landmarks.
